The Bobrov apparatus or bank is structurally a vessel with a measuring scale made of a durable transparent polymer material with a volume of 0.5-2 liters with a sealed lid and two holes with tubes. Some models of the apparatus include in their design a manual rubber bulb, which is capable of inflating pressure up to 40 kPa, a pressure gauge for measuring the level of internal pressure, and valves for adjusting the flow of a gas mixture or liquid.
Bobrov's breathing apparatus can be disposable and reusable. The chemically neutral material for the manufacture of the body and cover of reusable models is resistant to cleaning, washing, disinfecting substances and is able to withstand short-term heating up to a temperature of +120°C.
